Bollocks

January 17, 2019 By Simon Lewis

Not strictly a web design term, but a fine English slang word, literally meaning ‘testicles’ but idiomatically meaning ‘inadequate, poor, unimportant or untrue’
Applicable in many circumstances pertaining to web design as well as many general scenarios.

EXAMPLES

“This website is bollocks” – this website is not particular useful or well-designed.

“Bollocks to that” – I’m not particularly interested in that matter.

“Don’t give me all that bollocks” – I question the veracity and/or salience of the matter at hand.

“Oh, bollocks!” – Fiddlesticks. I appear to have dropped my bacon sandwich.
